Mehidy Hasan Miraz of Bangladesh put on an incredible all-around display in the just finished home series against Zimbabwe, setting a new career high and moving up to No. 2 in the ICC Men's Test All-Rounder Rankings. The 26-year-old is just behind India's Ravindra Jadeja, who holds the top slot with 400 rating points, with 327.
Miraz was the undisputed standout across both Tests.In Chattogram, he followed up with a commanding century of 106 runs and another five-wicket performance, helping Bangladesh win the series 2-0 by an innings and 106 runs. In Sylhet, he took five wickets in each innings and amassed a 10-wicket haul which shows his all rounder skills.

For his efforts, Miraz was named Player of the Match and Player of the Series.
Miraz's rise saw him move past several major international all-rounders:
Marco Jansen (South Africa) – 294 points
Pat Cummins (Australia) – 271 points
Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh) – 253 points
This marks his first time breaking into the top two, overtaking his fellow countryman Shakib, a former No. 1, and solidifying his place among the elite.
The right-handed all-rounder also improved individually in both departments:
Moved to 55th in Test batting rankings (up 8 spots)
Climbed to 24th in bowling rankings (up 2 spots)
His second innings bowling figures of 5/32 in Chattogram were crucial in wrapping up Zimbabwe's resistance.
After hitting a century in the second Test, Shadman Islam moved up 17 spots to 60th position in the batting rankings.
After taking nine wickets in a match, Taijul Islam rose seven spots to 16th place.
In bowling, Nayeem Hasan moved up six spots to 54th.
From the Zimbabwe side, Sean Williams returned to the top 20 in batting (19th), while Ben Curran and debutant spinner Vincent Masekesa made gains after solid contributions.
