Kolkata Knight Riders' rising talent Angkrish Raghuvanshi has set his sights on representing India across all formats of the game, with a strong ambition to don the whites in Test cricket. The young right-handed batter from Mumbai, who made headlines during the 2022 Under-19 World Cup as India’s top scorer with 278 runs in six innings, believes in building a well-rounded game through relentless practice and match experience.

Following his IPL debut with KKR in the 2024 season, Raghuvanshi was retained for 2025 at a value of ₹30 lakh. Despite KKR's underwhelming campaign this year—finishing eighth on the table with five wins, seven losses, and two no-results—Raghuvanshi stood out as a consistent performer, being one of only two players in the squad to cross the 300-run mark alongside captain Ajinkya Rahane.
Speaking to Wisden.com, Raghuvanshi shared that playing in the IPL has been a significant step up, citing the increased pace and sharper spin as challenges he's learned to overcome. He emphasized the importance of playing frequently and practicing consistently to adapt across formats and grow as a player.
He also credited his solid technique against spin to the competitive cricketing environment in Mumbai and highlighted the influence of Suryakumar Yadav. “Watching Surya bhai play spin is a lesson in itself—how he reads the bowler, manipulates the field—it’s something I try to learn from,” Raghuvanshi said.
With his hunger for improvement and exposure to high-level competition, Raghuvanshi is positioning himself as a long-term prospect for Indian cricket, not just in the shorter formats but also in the game’s most demanding arena—Test cricket.
