Saint Lucia Kings (SLK) thumped Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) by 7 wickets in the 20th match of the CPL 2025 played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in San Fernando on September 4, 2025. Requiring only 110 for victory, the Pacers were in a hurry to knock off the target and won in the 11th over, 112/3, to secure two important points.
Electing to field after winning the toss, the Saint Lucia Kings' bowlers produced an impressive show to skittle Trinbago Knight Riders for 109 in 18.1 overs. Leg-spinner Tabraiz Shamsi was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/12, well supported by Roston Chase (2/19) and Khary Pierre (2/31). Nicholas Pooran (30 from 27) attempted to stabilize TKR's innings, but wickets at regular intervals ensured there was no momentum.
In response, Saint Lucia Kings was off to a flying start. A quickfire 28 from Ackeem Auguste and 36 off 19 balls by Tim Seifert continued the burly hitting. The chase was easily completed with Roston Chase (27 off 18) and Timothy David (17 off 10) taking them over.. with 87 for the loss of one wicket to spare in 11.1 overs for a crushing win.
