The Hundred is a new cricket format launched by the England and Wales Cricket Board in 2021. Each team faces only 100 balls per innings, creating a faster-paced game that is more suitable for live audiences and television broadcasts. This format significantly shortens match duration, attracting a younger audience. With rules and structures combining strategy and entertainment, it has gradually earned a loyal fan base in the cricket world.
The 2025 edition of The Hundred maintains its established lineup, featuring eight city-based men's teams: Birmingham Phoenix, London Spirit, Manchester Originals, Northern Superchargers, Oval Invincibles, Southern Brave, Trent Rockets, and Welsh Fire. These teams represent key cities across England and Wales, each with its own dedicated home ground and passionate fan base.
The men's competition in 2025 runs from August 5 to August 31 across eight iconic cricket grounds in the UK. There will be 32 regular-season matches, followed by the knockout stage and the final. Notably, almost every matchday is a "double-header," featuring one women's match and one men's match, allowing fans to watch both games with a single ticket. Ascores will also provide The Hundred 2025 points tables, full fixtures, live scores, and statistical updates.
