The World Championship of Legends (WCL) is back! It's a T20 cricket tournament with retired and non-contracted cricketing legends from top countries such as India, Pakistan, Australia, England, West Indies, and South Africa. The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) approved it. This is the second season in 2025, mixing old memories with some hot competition. Expect to see classic matchups – like India versus Pakistan – and big names like Yuvraj Singh, Brett Lee, and Shahid Afridi. India Champions are back to defend their title after beating Pakistan in the 2024 final.
The tournament starts July 18 at Edgbaston in Birmingham, with England taking on Pakistan. There will be 18 matches overall, played at four locations: Edgbaston, Headingley (in Leeds), the County Ground (Northampton), and Grace Road (Leicester). After a group stage where teams play each other, the semifinals are set for July 31, and the final match is at Edgbaston on August 2.
